1. Colours I will use; cream, red, brown and creamy brown
2. Font, product name, and slogan
3. Chocolate I will take a picture of. This is galaxy cookie crumble chocolate, the reason why I will use it is because the cookie pieces resemble the coffee that is suposedly in the chocolate I am advertising.
4. The picture I will make using coffee beans.

Advert Analysis; Innocent Smoothie

Context:
This advertisement was made by the Innocent Smoothies company. It was created to advertise a new smoothie they made. This would be a very modern advertisement, I know this because of the techniques the creaters would have used. I believe that a digital camera was used to take pictures of the landscape, fruit and drink carton, and I think that Adobe Illustrator was used to add text to the picture. I have noticed that a 'chatty tone' has been used in the text on the advertisement for example where it says: 'You lucky old thing'. I think the purpose of this is so that anyone can relate to the advertisment.

Meaning:
The caption ('We crush all of this... into this:) at the top catches your attention straight away as it is in a large font and is made out to be pointing at the product and fruit with the use of the arrows. This is effective as it immediately draws our attention to the purpose of the advert; the smoothie. This large caption also informs us on how the product is made.

It think it is very clever how the most important text is in a small font and towards the bottom of the advert. This is because readers that want to know even more about the product will take their time to read more in-depth of how the product has been made.

Aesthetics:
The genre of art that I would associate this piece with is landscape photography. This is due to the background image, and the objects placed on the grass. I think that it is quite creative how they have displayed all of the fruit used in the smoothie, as a large pile of fruit as the amount will make people want to buy it, because that a healthy diet is essential. (This is a good sales technique).

Scale is an important factor with this advertisement. This is because different size proportions have been used to catch the publics attention. For example: the large pile of fruit makes the product seem more appealing as it is presenting to us the fact that the smoothie is full of a lot of fruit.

I like the way that bright colours have been used as this effects the publics mood while interpreting the advertisement; bright colours lift the public's mood, which could possibly make them want to buy the product.

Personal Response:
I think that this is a good advertisement as the colours used are all attractive as well as the images, scales and particularly the text at the top that caught my attention when I first saw it. These aspects allow the advert to look fun and interesting. My favourite aspect of this advertisemtn is the visual, rather than the written sections. This is because the bright colours were able to lift my mood, particularly on the landscape image; the blue sky and green grass and trees reminds me of the summer which also makes me feel positive.

Screen Grabs; Edits Of Our Photo Shoot

Sharpen

Gaussian Blur
I edited this picture to have a sharp effect because I wanted the picture to look even bolder to show a clear link to the work of Henrick Bonnevier.
Brush Strokes
Chalk and charcoal
Glowing edges

For this picture I used the Gaussian Blur effect to show a contrast between a sharpened picture (above) and a blurred picture.

I used this effect; Brush Strokes as I noticed that it gave a bold paint look that Henrick Bonnevier creates with his pictures that inspired me with this photo shoot. I think that this effect looks better than the 'sharpen' effect.

I used this effect; chalk and charcoal to make the whole picture look as if it was drawn, rather than just the background.

I used this effect to present the range of bright colours that Henrick Bonnevier uses in his photography that inspired me to take photos using this type of composition.

Magazine Photo Shoot; Group Work

1. How we set up our first photo shoot; Henrik Bonnevier inspired:

For our Henrik inspired picture we focused on using objects with two colours just like he does in his pictures. The two colours we used were pink and blue. We ensured that we used two bold colours to show a clear link between our own photos and Henrik's photography. My group and I thought carefully about the composition; we wanted it to look planned, but as if it was planned to look random at the same time. The reason for this is because we believe that Henrik Bonnevier chooses the way that he places each object, but still allows it to give a random effect, because he doesn't place each object colour/size accordingly or in any particular order. We decided to have the same type of composition as Henrik created in this picture:

Henrik Bonnevier's picture that inspired our idea

Our first photo

We placed the larges object towards the back; the bag, which is also not the same colour as the background.

This is the picture that we created after being inspired by Henrik Bonnevier. Objects used: - a pink bag
- pink nail varnish
- a pink and white tub of vaseline
- pink lip gloss
- a black and pink tube of mascara
- black glasses
- black thread
- pink bangle .
- two sheets of black sugar paper

We tried to stick to a colour theme; pink and black, just like Henrik used two colours in the picture above. We added the thread and placed some of it over the pink objects to add a pattern to the image and to show a contrast between the two completely different colours. If we could improve the picture, one way would be to change the composition of each object, making them stand up taller so that every object has an equal focus; I believe that the main focus of this picture we created would be the bag as it is bigger and is placed more 'up-right' compared to the other objects.

 2. How we set up our second photo shoot; Andrea Bricco inspired:

For our Andrea Bricco inspired we made it clear of what the main object is by drawing it (larger than the actual object) on a black piece of paper using white chalk in the same way that Andrea Bricco does. We chose to have a more 'planned' composition. This is because in the image below, made by Andrea Bricco she has clearly, carefully placed the food in a particular way as she thought of the presentation. Therefore we decided to place each object onto the black paper individually rather than placing them on top of each other.

Objects used:
- a pink bag
- pink and white tub of vaseline
- pink bracelet
- pink nail varnish
- pink lip gloss
- a pink and black tube of mascara
- white chalk
- one sheet of black sugar paper

If we could improve this picture I think that it would be to include different coloured objects, because in the picture above, made by Andrea Bricco, she hasn't used a particular colour scheme, and if we used random colours as she did, the link between our photo and hers would be even more obvious.

Out of the pictures that my group and I did, my favourite one would have to be the Andrea Bricco inspired picture. This is due to the fact that I am very fond of the way that we drew the main object on the sugar paper, allowing it to look like an illustration. By doing this we have included two different genres of art; illustration and photography which I think is very creative to do.
